Archipelago. A series of public realm photographs exploring the dichotomy of local and foreign. The photographs present the landscape as a mnemonic structure that is thought to be a constant but is actually in a state of flux as that which was foreign is assimilated to the vernacular.

This body of work looks at festivals that are built up around mythological stories. The images follow the the Hindu festival of Holi as celebrated by migrant Gujarati Hindus living in Britain. The bonfire symbolises the demise of evil despite a boon of indestructibility.

2004, Commissioned by BBC to create an artist film that looks at time and space as opposing constructs. The video explores whether time affects space or vice-versa. The film was commissioned for the “Taste festival”.
