Failing the Tebbit test

Public realm photographs exploring the dichotomy of local and foreign. The photographs subverts landscape mnemonic structure. The images present disconnect between place and it’s visual characteristics by displacing the vernacular with a ultimate symbol of the foreign (the flag). The flag motif as a symbol of nationhood and pride is dissected to understand the value of the migrant in their new milieu.
