Here we dance – Invisible to space or time

A study of how we as human-beings occupy space and time to proliferate culture through translation. This moving image work is part of a series of videos that explores how people self-organise to learn and develop culture. The picture plane is divided into vertical sections each of which represents a different moment in time. The music is Gustav Hoslt’s songs based on the ancient Rig Veda developed from a translation of the original hymns.  In the same way Holst played with the translation of another culture – so the dancers in the video in South-East Asia play with the translation of another culture (Hip Hop).
